Can anyone tell me if the KN5000 Anniversary Edition is different from the regular KN5000? I have looked for info on this and can't find anything.... Thanks, Marla

Hi Marla, Sorry for the delay in replying but this is due to not having any info on an Anniversary Edition KN5000, I have been in touch with Ex Technics personal from both South Africa and the head of Technics USA. and drawn a blank. We feel this may have been a Dealer customised product rather than one from Japan. The KN5000's launch does not tie up with any significant dates within the production history of Technics musical instruments to my knowledge. If anybody can shed some more light on this subject I would like to hear about it.

Hi,
Here is a link to a Technics Sx-kn5000 currently for sale on EBay:

It appears that these were sold with a special carrying bag and an extra expression pedal. A gold sticker was added to the keyboard near the kn5000 logo.
That is all I have been able to figure out. It most likely was a US dealer who did this as a marketing gimmick. I cannot see any difference in the actual keyboard.

Hi, The added sticker is not something I think would be anything other than a dealer sales pitch. I notice that the two supplied disks are missing or not listed. these are available from this site. Damaged keys can be replaced without too much hassle. Having looked they do not list anything special just a few extras, I think if they had fitted a hard drive that would be more like it.
