Hi I am new to the forum I have just purchased a kn7ooo I also have a tyros 5-76 my question is what software will I need to load on to my computer to work with the kn7ooo and this site. There is a lot going on the site and quite hard to get started for a new member. I live in the northeast of England and a member of two keydoard clubs Northeast keyboard club and music makers club. Hope I have posted this in the Wright place many thanks Bill

Re: Software for computer

Hi Bill,

I saw your other post in the Members Area so I understand that you have downloaded KNSDExplorer.

You can watch the videos of how to use it here - KNSDExplorer Video

Read the instructions under the video and then watch it. be sure to expand the video to full screen so that you can see what is going on.

And the main website for KNSDExplorer is here - KNSDExplorer

The KNSDExplorer website has full help regarding using the programme. It is quite intuitive but you won't get the best from it until you read all the help info, it is basically an online manual.

Aside from that, if you need more help just answer this post in the forum to let us know what you need help with, or post a message on the KNSDExplorer website.

Best wishes,
Mike

Re: Software for computer

This has been emailed. However, in order to email zip files containing executables they have to be renamed which can be challenging if you aren't used to it. I've included instructions.

For the benefit of all Members - Some firewalls block the download of zip files containing executables. All files on the site are safe and have been checked for viruses by me and by the software running on the servers. Most firewalls and browsers will allow you to download these sorts of files provided that when the warning message pops up you respond to say that the file is safe.

One such example of this is given at the end of the following page - TECHNICS KEYBOARDS ICONS PROGRAM - please read the info carefully and look at the image carefully so that you understand how to override the potential file block message in your browser and tell your computer that the file is safe. In the case of the example, select "Keep".

Re: Software for computer

There have been a number of 'new' owners of the KN7000 popping up on here of late, many of whom really are way back at the beginning in terms of their understanding of how to get best use out of the Technics KN7000...the simple but not obvious things when compared with say yamaha and Korg operating systems.
I wonder whether you guys think maybe it's time for a CENTRAL UK somewhere get together so that light can be shed on some of these fundamentals...I'm happy to help out if it were to go ahead.
