PR370 main board

I have a technics pr370. about a year ago when I turned it on, something popped and now it makes unending strange sounds...I have had two men come take a look--one couldn't figure it out. we did try to initialize but it did not work. troubleshooting done was speakers, battery, synthesizer. we took out the main chip on the main board and it produced no sounds whatsoever so I'm guessin that was the main chip. I have been told by so many people that technics went out of business and parts have to be ordered through Panasonic, however it's almost impossible to get any parts since my model is older, if not old. I have tried to find a main board and perhaps that would be the answer, but not much luck there. I purchased this model perhaps 1990 or so and at that time the price was over $5,000.00. a local music store owner said I should just trash the whole thing because I will not find any parts. Please, can anyone guide me somehow or offer any recommendation? I really do hate to trash it.
