Hi folks. I'm new to the forum. I just changed my KN 6000 for KN 6500. I downloaded a manual as I did not get a hard copy. I have been checking out the hard drive, which seems to be very useful. The downloaded manual does not seem to have any reference to HDD. On the keyboard itself there is a lot of useless stuff on the HDD which I wish to erase. The keyboard tells me I need an 8 digit number from the manual in order to format the drive. The keyboard tells me to look in manual under Chapter handling, But I cannot find Chapter handling in Manual. Although this is not an urgent task I hope someone will be able to help. Many thanks, jimkeys Manchester, UK

Hi, I have attached a copy of the Hard Drive Manual as supplied by Keysoft who made the Hard Drives as an after market fitment for various KN models. This should help you find your way around. The site has to say we offer no liability for using information contained but this is a genuine copy of the manual and not a transcript.
Best regards John.

Hi John. I am so grateful to you for your speedy response. I can see that the manual answers all my questions. I had not realised that the hard drive was an add-on.I suppose that is one of the problems in buying a used instrument. My wife and I both play and were used to the KN 6000, so we hope to get as much enjoyment from our KN6500. Having read your profile it's good to know you're the go-to guy. Once again, many thanks. Jim.
