Hi, Has anyone succeeded to load bmp/jpg pictures into a KN7K. The manual says can use bmp or jpg in 640x240 format. I resized my band's logo to 640x240 and saved as both a 256-color and 16-bit bmp or jpg but I keep getting error message 'This BMP/JP…

Hi,
Has anyone succeeded to load bmp/jpg pictures into a KN7K.
The manual says can use bmp or jpg in 640x240 format.
I resized my band's logo to 640x240 and saved as both a 256-color and 16-bit bmp or jpg but I keep getting error message
'This BMP/JPG is in the wrong format for the KN and cannot be loaded. See the Owners manual for more details.'
I tried different formats and sizes and get same error message..

The last one I worked on would only accept a BMP file but it was in someones home and I was without access to a computer to edit files. The JPG option seems to be somewhat limited as its not the resolution, colours or size but the compression factor which confuses things. Minimal compression with 640 x 230 and no more than 256 colours may well work with JPG. BMP is uncompressed and effectively should work every time. The BMP JPG option may only be available with some versions of the firmware on the keyboard. The homepage graphic is even smaller and BMP only 160 x 100 and 256 colours

I would suggest that JPG files be cropped to size and reduced to 256 colours then saved with no compression as the processing power of the keyboard is not exactly powerful with regard to graphic files!
