Someone mentioned recently that 'SEQ to Composer Copy' was a great way to make a style file out of a midi. Easy enough to find that facility on my KN7000. But looks a bit complicated after that...

Re: SEQ to composer copyHi Roger, the Sequencer to Composer that is built into the KN7000 is not the easiest feature on the KN7, Klaus included the same feature in the Style Works Program.this does the same thing but it is a lot easier because you have a total overview on the computer screen which is a lot larger than the one on the KN7. I will see if I can send you some instruction that you can use on theKN7000, please leave it with me, and I will get back to you.

Re: SEQ to composer copyRoger, update re the Seq to Composer, to my surprise having owned a KN3000 for some years I had not even noticed that this feature was there in those days. I was aware it was in the KN6000 although there was an extra piece of software which could be used in the keyboard like style convert to do the Seq-Composer in an easer way. I have since found EMC also created a version for both KN5000 and KN7000 both in German and not easy to find in the UK.

Re: SEQ to composer copyHi John. Yes there is both floppy disks that enable style convert from other manufacturers keyboard models and of course EMC software. The latter software did simplify converting midi files with varying degrees of success dependant on the quality of the midi file and I own an old copy of that German software. However you don't get updates as Windows changes occur and EMC no longer works in my latest desktop computer.
