Hi folks, can I or can I not at all have 9th chords (minor 9th and major 9th), as well as, let's say D7(#5#9) sound when I actually press those chords in my left hand? When I have a major 9th chord ALONE I invert it (by adding a major 2nd to the tonic triad) and it works, but that's not the case if the chord is a minor 9th; as soon as I add the minor 9th (C minor9th) the chord registers as the relative major chord with an added minor 7th). I wouldn't bother figuring it out if the piece I'm playing had only 1 or 2 of those chords; unfortunately Shakatak's songs are literally full of augmented, diminished, etc. chords. Thanks if you have any idea.
