Hi Mike,
What kind of software program do you recommend for converting any song (voice and instruments) from audio wav,mp3,CD,etc to MIDI songs. I've been trying some of the trial version that are available monophonic and polyphonic and I can only hear 1 instrument instead of the hole band. I tried intelliscore, digital ear,etc. or may be I am doing something wrong. I follow their tutorial and still doesn't work

Hi Bufalo,

I'm not very familiar with this type of program and from what I see they are quite a long way from being usable at the present time.

Possibly the demos you're using are limited to what you can do?

Well, I would dearly love to find a good program for this but I'm sorry I don't know of one.

I understand that some of the DAWs can do this too, such as Protools and Reaper, with plugins, and there's also a program called Widi.

I'm certain that this is a technology that will advance extremely rapidly in the next few years but I don't think it is there yet.
