Hi guys from a quite new member.

I was wondering whether one of you can help me out with some specifications of the GA-series organs (especially for the GA2 and GA3).

Currently playing a GN9 but considering to switch on one of those models mentioned above and ... well ... due to transportation reasons I would be more than thankful if one of you could provide me these information.

Your help and support is highyl appreciated.

Best regards from Hamburg/Germany

Hi Olli,
Welcome to the site, I have been able to get the specifications I think you require,

Technics GN9 Technics GA1

124.5 cm 124.6 cm

122.0 cm 121.7 cm

60.1 cm 60.1 cm

96 kg 104 kg

Hope this is what you want, and they both split as does your GN9

Re: Dimensions + weight GA-series

Hi John,

great stuff and thanks for investigation (did you wink)?
This is very helpful and it seems that the weight can be neglected comparing to the GN 9 organ which I carried into the 5th floor of my flat (of course no elevator).

So the next challenge is, finding an affordable GA3 here in Germany and a new home for my current GN9.

Hi Olli,

As far as size is concerned you could also look at the EA5, this is a more modern version, I remember the GN9 well I had one, but now use a KN7000 this is due to weight !! but the option of GA and EA would give you a better chance of finding one, also the Ea can use GA software.
I wish you well on your hunt for for your new instrument.
Regards John.

Re: Dimensions + weight GA-series

Hi John,

Thanks a lot for this interesting advice and I just had a look at YouTube what the EA5 is about.
Seems to be a decent instrument but ... I need to go for the "full monty".

You know ... started playing organ again (did this on a professional basis in the 80s as a demonstrator for a German manufacturer) and due to absence of more than 20 years I got the age, time and money now cherishing my old hobby.

But anyway - thank you so much for your great feedback and efforts.
BTW: Where are you located?

Re: Dimensions + weight GA-series

hi Olli, If you are looking for the "WORKS" how about the G100c the sizes are approx 125 cm W x 128 cm H x 69 cm D 113kg weight, or the F100 if you are looking for 61 note keyboards but a lot bigger and heaver !!
Regards John.

Re: Dimensions + weight GA-series

Hi guys just got a beautiful G100c last night in mint condition. Moving these awesome pieces of kit requires either 2 world class weightlifters with the stealth and poise of a Ballerina to avoid knocking them on door frames or, you disassemble (as I should have done) before attempting to move it. However the broken back and cursing delivery man all suddenly pail into insignificance when you turn it on. Only one word which is sadly overused these days but it's capabilities and sound are truly awesome for an instrument that is 18 years old. I think it will take me a good few weeks to get comfortable and even remotely competent with it.
Still have my GX7 amd PR300 - think the PR will have to go!
